A wonderful day shooting with some amazingly talented creatives today shooting the SS16 look book for designer David Longshaw. David is one of the most exciting designers to emerge in the last couple of years. After graduating from Central St Martins and the RCA and stints at Alberta Ferretti and Max Mara, David began his own label in 2013.
It was a wonderful, also, to meet Davids wife, talented designer and jewellery maker Kirsty Ward.
Davids’ designs are beautiful and I look forward to seeing the post production images.
The first of the three shows I worked on this season and it was an epic show. Faustine Steinmetz is an amazing designer who spins, dyes and weaves all her own fabrics. She reproduces iconic pieces by hand and her work is stunning.
I was absolutely honoured to be part of the makeup team, led by the gorgeous, lovely and mega talented makeup maven Lucy J Bridge, of Streeters.
The look Lucy designed was pared back, slept in and texture-lised, echoing the clothing it complemented.

Today I had the pleasure of doing the makeup for a fashion Lookbook. Kited Teddy is an upcoming brand owned by the fab Kite.
I had the absolute joy of working with a wonderful team to create some stunning images. I look forward to the final images.
The photographer, Emma J Lewis, picked the imposing background of St Paul’s cathedral London for the majority for the first series of images where the models were modelling the evening wear.
Later, for the day dresses we moved to Millenium Bridge which provided great views up the river to Tower Bridge.
For the final series we moved to Ave Maria street behind St Paul’s which have some beautiful modern stainless steel sculptures which provided a wonderful visual contrast to the stately Cathederal.
It was so lovely to be in London on a sunny Saturday and I even had a chance to broadcast a live Periscope video during the shoot. Im fairly new too Periscope but do follow me so you get notifications of all broadcasts I make.

A great day shooting the theme ‘colour’ with Dan Clarke photographer.
There were two looks for the day. A 1960-‘s inspired pastel and funky lashes look teamed with a fantastic beehive inpired do by hairstylist Jenny Tellet. We had the perfect muse with italian model Georgia Mos. Absolutely stunning.
The second look was punk inspired with featured brows and red lips and cheeks to give the whole feel a retro 80’s vibe. I kept the skin very natural with shine to give a modern feel and stop the look from being dated. The model Betheny-Alice Wright is a dancer as well as model and Dan was able to capture some lovely movement with his camera.
A fun and inspiring day.
This was a wonderful shoot to be part of. The photographer Amber Charach was an absolute pro. It’s always inspiring to work with a photographer who has a clear vision of what they want to achieve from the work and the knowledge and skill to achieve it.
Candice Osman, the model, really channeled the ‘witchy and dark’ vibe beautifully and created some gorgeous images.
The makeup was in silver and black tones with shimmer to reflect the almost other-worldly feel. I love the shots with the deep, blood red lip especially.

This was such a fun shoot to work on as the models, Giordano and Lily were ace and the photographer Ernela was amazing as she used retro equipment; polaroid, instamatic and a 1980’s analog camera to get the right feel for her for Boy Magazine.
Can’t wait to see the final images.

It was a gorgeous warm spring day in London and the photographer Katie took full advantage of the sunshine with some great outdoor shots.
The studio was an oven however, and keeping the products in my kit from melting and the makeup from sliding off the models face was a challenge. But we got some amazing shots. Can’t wait to see the post production images.
